THIS WEEK ON THE CATHOLIC CURRENT: Families in peril, priests to the rescue, and more!

I’m Father Robert McTeigue, S.J., and I am delighted to be the host and producer of The Catholic Current, where we apply timeless truths to timely topics.  Advent is ending, Christmas is coming, and busy Catholics need to be formed, informed and transformed.  We at The Catholic Current are here to help!  We will kick off the week on Monday with Dr. Matthew B. O’Brien, looking at his investigation of alleged financial irregularities at the Papal Foundation.  On Tuesday, we’ll welcome Dr. Catherine Pakaluk of Catholic University (who went viral online challenging the French prime minister’s slander of large families).  We’ll ask her, “Do American families need to be rescued?”   Father William Slattery will join us on Wednesday, to tell us about how priests saved civilization—and how they can do it again!  Thursday will be a special treat for our listeners.  Scientist and researcher Victoria Thorn will tell us about the biology that underlies the Theology of the Body.  Faith and science converge in a way that will astonish you!  We’ll wrap up the week on Friday with author Matthew Arnold, discussing his book, “Confessions of a Traditional Catholic.”     In this time of conflict and rapid change, The Catholic Current brings clarity and charity to help us find light in the darkness.  Join us!

Here’s what we have to look forward to this week:
