THIS WEEK ON THE CATHOLIC CURRENT: Poverty, Generational Curses, and Evangelization!

I’m Fr. Robert McTeigue, S.J., host and producer of The Catholic Current. I am looking forward to our conversations this week! This week is one of the most powerful weeks of the Church year. Just as Our Lady and the Apostles gathered in the Cenacle for these special days, let’s meet at The Catholic Current for this week and let’s be amazed by God’s work in us and around us.

The Holy Spirit has been called “the forgotten Person” of the Trinity. It is our opportunity to participate in the Spirit’s Mission, and His very Life. What a grace the show offers us daily, as we’re joined by the very best of today’s religious, writers, professionals and fellow believers who share their gifts with us!

On Monday, award-winning author Arthur Powers will help us answer the question “Can Poverty Teach Us Hope?” Archdiocesan exorcist Fr. Vincent Lampert will join us on Tuesday to examine  Generational Healing and the Power of Curses.” Wednesday’s guest is attorney, radio host and permanent deacon Mike Manno who’ll fill us in on the “Persecution of Catholic Adoption Agencies.”’s founding president Tom Peterson will talk to us on Thursday about calling Catholics back to the Church.   On Friday, Cambridge graduate and author Fiorella de Maria closes out the week, as she helps us talk about: “Who Can Ever Be Ready for War?”

Jesus promised to send the “Spirit of Truth” (John 15:26) not only to those present in the Upper Room over 2000 years ago, but daily throughout the Universal Church. We don’t always know what to say, or how to say it in prayer, but as St. Paul tells us, the Spirit “helps us in our weakness…” and “Himself intercedes for us.” (Romans 8:26). The Holy Spirit has given us our strong, steady desire to learn more about the truths of the Faith, and prepares us to receive and make good use of the lights He places on our path to Heaven. Join me this week, the Octave of Pentecost, on The Catholic Current as we do just that, under the mantle of Mary, Spouse of the Holy Spirit and Mother of the Church.
