I am Jesuit Father Robert McTeigue, and I am thrilled to be the daily host and producer of The Catholic Current, where we plug into the power of Jesus Christ and His Catholic Church.
This Thursday we wind down the Easter season and celebrate the solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord. Just before He ascended into Heaven, Christ entrusted His disciples with the mission of proclaiming the fullness of the Truth. Join us this week on The Catholic Current as we continue to do just that, with clarity and charity, fulfilling the call of the risen Lord, reigning in Heavenly glory and triumphantly returning.
On Monday we will revisit “What’s Up With The Papacy” with Phil Lawler, editor of Catholic World News (CWN). On Tuesday, we welcome clinical psychologist Dr. Gregory Bottaro, founder and executive director of the Catholic Psych Institute, and discuss “Finding God One Moment At A Time.” Author, artist and religious studies professor Dr. Clemens Cavallin joins us on Wednesday in examining “Who is the Greatest Living Catholic Author.” Thursday will see returning guest John Horvat, scholar, speaker and vice president of the American Association for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property, come on to talk about “What We Can Learn from the World’s Only Divorce-Free City.” On Friday, we wrap up the week with Fr. Nathan Cromly, CSJ, a religious priest of the Community of Saint John; also founder and president of Eagle Eyes Ministries, Fr. Nathan will speak with us about “The MBA for the New Evangelization.”
It is said that God does not call the qualified, but qualifies the called. We are all called by Christ to proclaim His Truth, tune in to The Catholic Current this week, as we better qualify ourselves for the all-important mission of the salvation of souls, beginning with our own, until we are finally called to share the happiness of the Risen Lord forever in Heaven. Join us!
