This Week on The Catholic Current: Hope, Sacred Music and an Update on American Bishops.

Hello Friends,

I’m Fr. Robert McTeigue, S.J., host and producer of The Catholic Current.

This week we’ll be joined by guests you need to hear from!

On Monday, we will welcome John Schlimm to discuss his book, “Five Years in Heaven,” about the unlikely relationship between a young man and a devout nun and what they learned about hope. On Tuesday, we’ll meet J.J. Wright, GRAMMY award-winning composer, whose latest album, Vespers for the Immaculate Conception, will set us up to ask the question, “Sacred Music – What’s Jazz Got to Do with It?” On Wednesday, we will be joined again by Bishop Michael Olson of Fort Worth who will give us “Updates on America’s Bishops.” Thursday’s returning guest, Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse, will teach us to “Fight Back Against the Sexual Revolution.” On Friday, we have a double header with Trent Horn who will speak to us about his book, “Counterfeit Christs,” and sacred music composer, Michael Kurek to tap into the mystery of “The Sound of Beauty.

Our rallying cry here at The Catholic Current is “Bringing Christ to the World, and the World to Christ!” It is the mission given by Christ to the Apostles on the day of his Ascension, passed on through generations, and now left in the hands of you and me, the faithful. What shall we do with it?
