I am Jesuit Father Robert McTeigue, and I am delighted to be the daily host and producer of The Catholic Current, where we plug into the power of Jesus Christ and His Catholic Church.
This week look we look forward to Pentecost and the fire of the Holy Spirit. Christ promised us divine power to help us fight the good fight. Join us this week on The Catholic Current as we continue to do just that, with clarity and charity, fulfilling the call of the risen Lord, reigning in Heavenly glory and triumphantly returning.
On Monday we will welcome author Loretta Pehanich and ask her about how to pray when we’re too busy. Tuesday’s episode will be a special doubleheader. At the top of the hour, we’ll welcome Dr. Bill Donahue of the Catholic League to discuss how the Church might save the culture. At the bottom of the hour we’ll welcome back Lepanto Institute’s Michael Hichborn, just returned from Rome. Wednesday, Max Eden of the Manhattan Institute will share his research on the collapse of the public school system. Can it be saved? Thursday, we’ll meet attorney/author James Kalb to discuss the latest attacks on the Church. On Friday, we wrap up the week with returning guest David Bonagura, who wonders whether Pope Francis has made Vatican II irrelevant.
It is said that God does not call the qualified, but qualifies the called. We are all called by Christ to proclaim His Truth, tune in to The Catholic Current this week, as we better qualify ourselves for the all-important mission of the salvation of souls, beginning with our own, until we are finally called to share the happiness of the Risen Lord forever in Heaven. Join us!
