Daniel J. Mahoney is a Professor of Politics at Assumption College. He received his B.A. from the College of Holy Cross and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Catholic University of America in political science. In 1999, Professor Mahoney was the recipient of the prestigious Prix Raymond Aron. He is associate editor of Perspectives on Political Science and book review editor for Society magazine. Professor Mahoney holds the Augustine Chair in Distinguished Scholarship at Assumption College. His latest books are The Other Solzhenitsyn: Telling the Truth about a Misunderstood Writer and Thinker, and The Idol of Our Age: How the Religion of Humanity Subverts Christianity. He is working on a book called The Statesman as Thinker: Ten Portraits of Greatness, Courage, and Moderation.
