Erie March for Life
January 26, 2019, 11 a.m.
Please arrive by 10:45 a.m.

The March will begin at Perry Square in downtown Erie and will be followed by a closing program at the Perry Square Pavilion. The entire event will conclude by 12:30 p.m.

The Erie March for Life will mark the 46th anniversary of the January 22, 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, which struck down the abortion laws of all 50 states and allowed unborn children to be killed in the womb for any reason at any time during pregnancy.

Everyone who is able to walk is strongly encouraged to do so, but those who would have difficulty walking the distance may participate in the motorcade that will follow the marchers. Parade marshals will stage vehicles for the motorcade beginning at 10:30 a.m. The vehicles will line up on the south side of Perry Square along South Park Row.

Marchers should assemble at the Pavilion in west Perry Square by 10:45 a.m. Parking will be available in the parking garage on Peach St. between 7th St. and 8th St.

The March will get underway from Perry Square at 11 a.m.

Please remember to dress for winter weather and be sure to wear good, non-slip footwear, just in case you encounter any icy spots during the March.

The March will proceed west on W. 6th St., south on Sassafras St., east on W. 10th St., and north on State St. back to Perry Square for the closing program.

Program speakers will be announced.
