Did you know that Tolkien himself described The Lord of the Rings as a fundamentally religious and Catholic work? St. Louis Church in Pittsford is hosting a book and movie discussion exploring this claim. If you haven’t read Tolkien’s trilogy, don’t worry, you’re still invited! We’ll be viewing the movies and using a commentary by Fleming Rutledge to uncover layers of Catholic themes in Tolkien’s work. Come and join us for a very unique way to explore our faith through popular literature. The nine-session event begins Tuesday, Jan. 7th at 7:00 p.m. See our website for exact dates. Registration and more information are available on our website at stlouischurch.org or by calling our ministry center at 586-5675, ext. 224. Register soon!
